The Arlington Entertainment District is not standing still for the 2026 international soccer tournament. Several new attractions, venues and experiences are opening throughout 2026, many timed specifically to the tournament window. If you visited Arlington before, there is plenty of reason to come back. If this is your first trip, you are arriving at one of the most active moments in the district’s history.
Here is what is new.
Six Flags Over Texas debuts The Tormenta in summer 2026, a record-breaking dive coaster that stands 309 feet tall and reaches speeds of 87 miles per hour. The ride features a 95-degree beyond-vertical drop from 285 feet, making it one of the tallest and fastest coasters in the state.
Six Flags sits inside the Entertainment District, making it an easy addition to a day between matches. The Tormenta alone is drawing coaster enthusiasts from across the country.
The National Medal of Honor Museum opened in March 2025 at 1861 AT&T Way, within walking distance of Globe Life Field and Dallas Stadium. The 100,000-square-foot museum features immersive exhibits, a 360-degree theater and AI-driven virtual conversations with Medal of Honor recipients.
The building, designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, hovers 40 feet above ground and includes a Sky Beam that illuminates the night sky. For the 2026 tournament, this is one of the newest and most architecturally striking additions to the district.
The Arlington Museum of Art at 1200 Ballpark Way is hosting “More Than a Match,” a soccer-themed exhibition running from May 2 through August 2, 2026. Four exhibitions cover the history of the sport, soccer-inspired art from global artists, the culture of fan scarves and historic team memorabilia.
The exhibit is timed to the tournament and includes works by Andy Warhol and Kehinde Wiley, artifacts from Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo and immersive photo opportunities. Admission is $18 to $25.
Globe Life Field updates its food lineup each season, and the 2026 season brings new vendors and menu items to the concourse. The ballpark already features Hurtado Barbecue at Section 141, the Boomstick near Section 132, Whataburger near Section 105 and Blue Bell ice cream throughout the concourse.
Check the promotions schedule for special food events, including Dollar Dog Night on Wednesdays and $1 Blue Bell ice cream for kids 13 and under on Sunday home games.
Arlington Backyard, the 5,000-capacity outdoor venue inside the Texas Live! complex, is expanding its 2026 programming with watch parties, postgame concerts and the La Fiesta del Futbol concert series timed to the tournament. The venue sits between Globe Life Field and Dallas Stadium with massive screens designed for match-day viewing.
Lincoln Square, the shopping center less than a mile from Dallas Stadium, is undergoing a major redevelopment into a project named “Anthem.” The project will introduce new restaurants, retail and green space to the area closest to the Entertainment District. Construction is expected to continue through 2027, so visitors in 2026 will see the transformation in progress.
The combination of new attractions, updated food options and expanded event programming means the 2026 version of the Arlington Entertainment District is the most complete it has ever been.
